Thousands of firefighters are now battling at least three major wildfires in the Los Angeles area, where 70,000 residents are under evacuation orders and 1.5 million customers are without power. The Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst fires have burned over 35 square miles, stretching from the Pacific Coast to Pasadena. At least 28,000 structures are at risk, with 1,000 already destroyed. However, Garland said the DOJ will withhold the Mar-a-Lago classified documents portion while two co-defendants still face trial. That part of the report will be made available to House and Senate Judiciary Committee members in private. It was unclear when the Jan. 6 volume of the report would be made public.
