Article Icon 1Migrant Caravan Dwindles After Trump Win

A migrant caravan traveling from southern Mexico to the United States has shrunk to about half its original size following Donald Trump's victory last week.

Many of the initial 3,000 or so migrants confessed they had hoped Vice President Kamala Harris would win and expressed doubt about being allowed to stay in the U.S. if they were granted asylum before Trump takes office.

Some even criticized Latinos who voted for the former president. "They forgot about when they were on the other side," said Mahily Paz, a Venezuelan migrant.

Trump has promised to finish the border wall begun in his first administration, reinstitute the "Remain in Mexico" policy for asylum seekers, and initiate mass deportations.

Article Icon 1High Lead Levels In Houston Neighborhood

A new study by Texas A&M researchers indicates that the soil of Houston's Greater Fifth Ward contains high levels of toxic heavy metals, particularly lead, which exceed U.S. EPA safety benchmarks in an area designated as a "cancer cluster" by state officials.

Soil samples collected from residential and recreational areas contain lead concentrations up to four times that found in Texas overall, prompting researchers to speculate that the contaminant could contribute to higher-than-normal cancer rates among the socioeconomically disadvantaged community.

The Fifth Ward is also home to a facility that pioneered the use of creosote on railroad ties. Union Pacific, which owns the former Houston Wood Preserving Works site, is also testing soil and coordinating with the EPA on health risk assessments.

Crews at Galleria Dallas began assembling the country's tallest indoor Christmas tree on Monday. The process involves around 50 workers and will be completed this Thursday.

The 95-foot tree installed in the center of the upscale mall's ice skating rink consists of a five-ton steel frame, 700 branches, more than 200,000 lights, and thousands of ornaments, including a 100-pound, 10-foot star topper.

The tree will be on display for visitors through January 6.

Did your mom ever tell you fruit is healthy? Mine too.

But I guarantee if your mother knew the damage a popular fruit does to your body, joints, and heart… she'd tell you NEVER eat this fruit again. You see, even though this fruit is marketed as being "healthy"… it actually contains a toxic nutrient your body sees as an "enemy."

So, every time you bite into this fruit…

Your immune system flags this "invader"… and unleashes its army of toxin killers. And since this nutrient enters your bloodstream once it's digested…

Your immune system starts attacking even HEALTHY tissue and organs… causing burning in your joints, muscles, and even your heart.

And even if you HATE fruit and veggies… I can 99.9% guarantee you've eaten this fruit in the past week — probably without even knowing it.

Luckily, Dr. Brian Paris recorded a video revealing the deadly truth about this fruit (and four other common foods).
