| | | WHAT WE'RE WATCHING | πΈ Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to head up DOGE. Beginning as a joke based on the Dogecoin cryptocurrency, Donald Trump will officially have the two entrepreneurs lead the Department of Government Efficiency — or DOGE. Trump stated that the goal will be to "dismantle government bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure federal agencies." | πͺ Fox News' Pete Hegseth tapped for secretary of defense. Donald Trump shocked the defense establishment by nominating the decorated Army veteran and current Fox News host Pete Hegseth for the post of secretary of defense. Hegseth may face a tough Senate confirmation, as some GOP senators expressed surprise and hesitation at the pick. | πΊπΈ America PAC will stay active post-election. Instead of winding down its efforts after the election 2024 election, Elon Musk's America PAC plans to ramp up efforts, focusing on boosting Republican registrations in key districts nationwide. Their strategy aims to build momentum ahead of upcoming special elections and the 2026 midterms. | ❗️ Fired FEMA employee warns of a larger scandal. After being fired over a leaked message instructing FEMA volunteers to avoid homes displaying Trump signs in Florida, former FEMA supervisor Marn'i Washington claims her directive wasn't an isolated incident. Washington insists that her order reflected a broader FEMA practice, revealing that similar actions occurred in North Carolina and potentially other areas. |

| | WHAT WE'RE HEARING | Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) believes Marco Rubio "is a strong choice" for secretary of state, and he "[looks] forward to voting for his confirmation." Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) said Trump has reached the "limit" of how many House members he can add to his cabinet. Charlemagne tha god said it's okay to "misgender" Caitlin Jenner since Jenner supported Donald Trump. Ben Shapiro called Trump's most recent cabinet picks "spectacular" and "10/10." Matt Walsh thinks Trump needs to "clean out" FEMA and "make an example of these scumbags."

| *Indicates content from our sponsors | | MY THOUGHTS | The GOP "Super Friends" | Good morning. What a fascinating time to be a Republican. In just the past couple of years, Donald Trump managed to unify Big Tech entrepreneurs, former Democrats, and libertarians into the new conservative movement — and now they're joining his administration. | Trump turned Elon Musk's "Doge" meme into reality by creating the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to provide "advice and guidance" on cutting government excess. | Good. Slash it. | Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) already quipped at the idea, saying that having Musk and Ramaswamy leading the office is already a waste — having two men doing a job that one person could do. | It's not a bad joke, but Sen. Warren is one of the strongest advocates of massive federal bureaucracy, and her fears presumably run deeper than having two department heads. | Trump already said he is eliminating the Department of Education, and Musk and Vivek will likely recommend much more — maybe even cuts to Warren's own Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. | Pardon me for enjoying the schadenfreude. | |

| | | 2024 ELECTION | Pro-life has become a losing issue | Voters in seven out of ten states recently approved ballot measures to protect or expand abortion. States like Arizona, Maryland, and New York just approved measures to enshrine abortion in their constitutions, reflecting a strong response to the Supreme Court's 2022 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. | In places like Missouri and Montana, where state legislatures previously enacted restrictive abortion laws, pro-abortion ballot measures passed, giving abortion activists a model for challenging existing bans. Even states with generally conservative leanings and who vote for Republican politicians saw voter-led support for abortion. | Overall, and when taking into consideration the elections since Roe's overturn, pro-life laws have generally been a losing issue at the ballot box. In 2022, Kansas voters struck down a proposal that would have declared that their state Constitution doesn't protect abortion rights. | That same year, California, Michigan, and Vermont moved to enshrine abortion access into their constitutions during the midterms, while Montana voters rejected a measure that would have provided legal rights to infants born alive after failed abortion attempts. | Kentucky voters also declined a similar anti-abortion amendment. And just last November, Ohio followed suit, choosing to create a constitutional amendment to protect abortion. | Many of the left-wing pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) spend millions of dollars supporting ballot initiatives, usually far more than pro-life groups spend. | George Soros-backed dark money groups also spent millions of dollars in 2023 on Ohio's ballot question on abortion. These groups do not even operate within the state, but send donations out of blue cities such as Washington DC, and New York. | Donald Trump, after taking credit for returning the abortion issue back to the states, has stated he would not sign into law a national abortion ban. Now, pro-life Republicans are left to change minds from the ground up, though at present, Americans appear to favor abortion. | |

| | 2024 ELECTION | Trump may have officially defeated "woke" | With Donald Trump's resounding presidential win, voters sent a message to the Democratic Party by rejecting the ideology of "wokeism" — an all-encompassing, left-wing ideology that places gender, racial, and class identities as paramount, and the lens through which all public policy must be sculpted. | Concerns such as inflation, border policies, and foreign policy failures were on voters' minds, but a rejection of left-wing ideology played a major role in this shift. | Throughout her career, Vice President Kamala Harris embraced doctrines like "equity" over "equality" and left-wing racial policies. Yet, she attempted to shift to a more centrist stance during her campaign — a move critics argue was a strategic attempt to appear moderate, not a genuine shift in values. | Harris' past call to provide detained illegal migrants with sex-change surgeries may have been the nail in the coffin of her 2024 campaign. In response, the Trump campaign released what may have been the most effective ad of the 2024 cycle, with the tagline, "Kamala's for they/them. President Trump is for you." | They effectively tapped into Americans' frustration with constantly changing language that threatened people's jobs and social status if they failed to keep up with the latest terminology. | In Congress, some left-leaning members like Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) and Sen. Joe Manchin (I-WV) have expressed frustration with what they see as the excessive influence of far-left ideology. Moulton recently caused a firestorm on the left by accusing Democrats of pushing an incredibly divisive transgender ideology. | And in the media, John Stewart recently lambasted Democrats, accusing them of having lost the election because they were "too woke." | Now, with Trump's return to the White House, Americans anticipate an administration that will actively dismantle left-wing initiatives. Trump's previous actions, such as banning government diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training, may offer a preview of what's to come. | |
