On Thursday night, the Texas Supreme Court decided not to block a firearms ban at the State Fair of Texas.

Justice Jimmy Blalock wrote the opinion, saying that the court "cannot possibly order the State Fair to allow handguns to be carried at this year's Fair," given that AG Paxton's legal team isn't arguing that the Fair has a legal right to allow the guns to be carried.

Around 100,000 people will visit the Fair each day during the 24 days it runs.

Article Icon 1Amtrak Gives High-Speed Rail Details

Amtrak's VP of high-speed rail, Andy Byford, discussed details this week for the proposed rail line between Dallas and Houston

The line would reduce an estimated 12,000-15,000 cars on I45, according to Amtrak, and would utilize 200 mph Japanese bullet train technology.

The proposal has drawn criticism from groups like Texans Against High-Speed Rail, concerned about the taxpayer dollars required and the usage of eminent domain powers.

Byford said in his statement that "The next six months are going to be very busy," referencing the design and research work still remaining.

Article Icon 1Longhorns to Play First SEC Game

UT will make its SEC debut today against Mississippi State.

It's the Longhorn's first official game against an SEC opponent as a member of the conference, but they have plenty of history with the conference. Since 2000, Texas has a 6-8 record versus SEC opponents.

As of last night, quarterback Quinn Ewers was still listed as questionable with his abdominal injury. If Ewers can't go, Arch Manning will get his first conference game start

The Flyover

When America sets its mind to something, it gets done.

Recently, America set its mind on bringing lithium production and industry back within its borders. Rather than depend on China, which processes 70-80% of the precious metal, the US is counting on companies like EnergyX to get the most of the third-largest lithium reserves in the world.

Located in the Lonestar State, EnergyX’s patented tech extracts lithium 300% more efficiently than conventional methods. Plus, where those methods take 12+ months, EnergyX needs just two days. They already received $200M+ worth of DOE grants. Now EnergyX is moving ahead on projects in both North and South America that seek to rewrite the lithium supply chain and assert the US as the prominent player.

EnergyX eventually aims to produce 65,000 total tons of lithium/year – 66% more than the current top-producing company. Join EnergyX as an early investor before their raise closes October 3.

GM Bets Big on This “Unlisted” Stock

For General Motors to succeed in meeting its EV transition target by 2035, they’ll need up to 414,469 tons of lithium per year. That’s why the automaking behemoth led a $50M investment round for lithium extraction startup EnergyX.

Their patented tech extracts lithium 300% more efficiently than conventional methods. Plus, where modern methods take 12+ months, EnergyX needs just two days. That’s why EnergyX has been entrusted with the rights to 100,000+ acres of lithium-rich Chilean land and a $5M DOE grant toward a recently announced US lithium plant.

It’s not just cars that need batteries, either. The entire $546B energy storage market will depend on securing reliable sources of lithium. EnergyX’s plan to produce 65,000 tons per year will help them lead the charge. However, EnergyX is only accepting shareholders until October 3.
