Holiday Sales Rebound After Sluggish 2023

Salesforce released a report showing that Thanksgiving weekend e-commerce sales topped $33 billion in 2024, a 6% increase over last year. The most interesting number? 72% of the revenue came from transactions on mobile devices.

Adobe released their own sales figures, showing that the U.S. alone spent $6.1 billion on Thursday, up nearly 9% from last year's $5.6 billion.

Salmonella Linked to Produce in 26 States

Arizona's SunFed Produce has recalled cucumbers sold in 26 U.S. states, including Walmart, Wegmans, and Albertsons, due to potential salmonella contamination.

The recall affects cucumbers sold between October 12 and November 26, and found on store shelves in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Salmonella infections can cause fever, diarrhea, and stomach cramps, with symptoms appearing 6 hours to 6 days after ingestion and lasting 4 to 7 days.
