| | | WHAT WE'RE WATCHING | π President Biden authorized Ukraine to strike Russia with long-range missiles. President Biden has reportedly approved the use of ATACMS missiles against targets inside Russia, marking another significant escalation approved by the US. Another source stated that the remaining $6 billion in approved Ukraine funding will be quickly spent before Donald Trump assumes office. | π₯ Tennessee faces a dangerous surge in Tren de Aragua gang activity. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation director warned that the violent Venezuelan gang is expanding its criminal empire across Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. Another official described the situation as a direct assault on law and order, with the gang spreading human trafficking, organized retail theft, and bloody drug wars even into smaller American cities. | π Madison Square Garden erupted for Trump at a UFC event. President-elect Donald Trump returned to the same New York arena where he delivered his closing campaign address, accompanied by several of his cabinet picks. After heavyweight champion Jon Jones won his match, he did the "Trump dance" and proceeded to shake hands with Trump and give him his championship belt. | ❌ The Pentagon failed its 7th consecutive financial audit. The Department of Defense failed once again to account for its over $820 billion budget, though Pentagon officials say they have made progress. The department has been unable to fully account for all its spending since audits became mandatory in 2018. |

| | WHAT WE'RE HEARING | Donald Trump described Ann Selzer's outlier Iowa poll as "possible election fraud." House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) opposed releasing the ethics report against Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), saying it could "open a Pandora's box." Rep. Tony Gonzalez (R-TX) urged Trump to focus his mass deportation message specifically on the over 600,000 convicted illegal migrant felons. Steve Bannon encouraged Trump to court martial General Mark Milley. Vivek Ramaswamy said some federal agencies will be "deleted outright."

| | NARRATIVE TRACKER | Bill Maher claimed on his show that "only Democrats" can accept election results when they lose. Mary Katherine Ham then pointed out that not only have Democrats disputed the 2000 and 2016 elections, but Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) is currently trying to overturn the results of his election loss to Dave McCormick. John Oliver said on his show that there's "no evidence" transgender-identifying kids pose a threat to "safety or fairness" when competing in girls' sports. On the contrary, stories of boys dominating in girls' sports have circulated for years; one notable example is high schooler Payton McNabb, who suffered debilitating head and spinal injuries after being struck in the head by a volleyball spiked by a male competing on a girls' team. The New York Times published a story attacking RFK Jr.'s stance against artificial food dyes in products like Froot Loops, claiming he was incorrect about ingredient differences between the US and Canadian versions. However, the article inadvertently highlighted Kennedy's point, as the US version contains synthetic dyes like Red 40 and Blue 1, while Canada uses natural alternatives. Famous Iowa pollster Ann Selzer is calling it quits. After publishing a poll shortly before the election showing Kamala Harris was up four points in Iowa, many in the media ran with it, claiming that it signaled a leftward shift in the midwest states. This poll turned out to be dramatically wrong, with Iowa voting for Trump by 12 points and the midwest swing states all going for him, too.

| | MY THOUGHTS | The Death Of Business as Usual | | Good morning. In 2018, Elon Musk didn't just launch a rocket; he propelled his personal Tesla sports car into orbit aboard the most powerful rocket of its time. It was bold, hilarious, and unprecedented. It signaled the death of "business as usual." | That same energy is fueling the Trump team as they head into 2024. They're disruptors and rule-breakers. They defy convention and love it. | It's creating a seismic shift in the nation's psyche. New reports show that voters who once hid their support in deep blue strongholds proudly hoisted Trump signs after the latest triumph. | "Business as usual" is dead. It's bland, sterile, and shackled by soulless professionalism. And now, it's history. | |

| | WASHINGTON | The first "trans" Congress member will test the GOP | Sarah, formerly Tim, McBride has become the first transgender-identifying member of Congress, winning Delaware's at-large House seat. McBride's election has been hailed by Democrats and the left-wing press as historic, but some conservatives warn of the potential implications of having such a member on Capitol Hill. | Beginning as a staffer for former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, McBride changed his name to Sarah, and began to rapidly climb the political ladder. McBride used this newfound popularity to gain connections with Hollywood celebrities and LGBT activists. | McBride has previously advocated for policies such as allowing boys to compete in girls' sports and supporting sex-change surgeries for minors. The Daily Wire's Michael Knowles pointed out that McBride "is going to want to use the women's bathroom" on Capitol Hill, and asked if Republicans are "going to permit this." | This is where concerns lie for conservatives — whether the GOP is going to set a new tone with their newfound majorities in both chambers of Congress and the presidency. | Americans demonstrated two weeks ago that they, in part, are eager to leave behind the radical gender and racial ideologies that the left has aggressively pushed for the past decade. Therefore, the first major test for Republicans will be the language they use in addressing McBride, such as whether they use the label "Congressman" or "Congresswoman." | The question remains whether Republicans will hold the line on this cultural flashpoint or bow to pressures to avoid conflict. McBride's tenure in Congress will undoubtedly test the resolve of GOP leaders as they dare to put their money where the mouth is by rejecting left-wing ideology and returning Washington to something resembling normal. | |

Matt Gaetz (R-FL) for attorney general, a move that has sparked widespread debate across the political spectrum.
