Early Voting Surges Amid Tight Races

Over 28 million Americans have already cast their ballots for the 2024 election, with Georgia and North Carolina reporting record-breaking early voting numbers.

Republicans are making up a larger share of early voters this year, notably in key battleground states such as North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Nevada.

Recent polls highlight the tight race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.

A Wall Street Journal poll indicates Trump leading Harris 47% to 45%, while a CNBC survey shows Trump's advantage at 48% to 46%. Conversely, a Tipp Tracking Poll has Harris ahead at 50% to 47%.

Restaurants Pull Onions in E. coli Outbreak

Health officials are investigating contaminated onions as the source of this week's McDonald's E. coli outbreak, leading some Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and Pizza Hut outlets to remove onions from their products.

The outbreak, linked to McDonald's Quarter Pounder burgers, has resulted in one death and nearly 50 illnesses across ten states.

Officials are focusing on Taylor Farms, a McDonald's onion supplier, while the giant hamburger chain has pulled the popular Quarter Pounder from about one-fifth of its U.S. locations.

McDonald's is now facing its first lawsuit related to the outbreak, and more cases are expected as the investigation continues.

Yankees-Dodgers Ready to Battle Again

For the first time since 1981, and a record 12th time overall, the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees will meet in the World Series starting tonight, offering star power, rich history, and plenty of intrigue.

Both the Yankees and Dodgers finished the regular season as the best teams in their respective leagues, marking only the fifth time in the Wild Card Era (since 1995) that both No. 1 seeds have reached the World Series, adding to the excitement of this year's matchup.

The Yankees have won eight out of 11 World Series matchups with the Dodgers and will go for number nine tonight when they send ace Gerrit Cole to the mound. Jack Flaherty will start for Los Angeles.

Tickets to the much-anticipated Fall Classic are set to be the most expensive in history, with standing-room-only tickets for Game 3 at Yankee Stadium starting at $1,514. The average resale prices for tonight's Game 1 at Dodger Stadium range from $1,682 to $1,731.
