A large fire near Dallas Love Field damaged six commercial buildings Monday night. Stacks of wooden pallets provided tinder for the three-alarm fire. About 70 firefighters battled the warehouse blaze for nearly 12 hours. No injuries were reported, but electricity was cut to 1,400 residents as a precautionary measure. California sent the most movers from another state (93,970), followed by Florida (50,513), Oklahoma (29,743), New York (29,610), and Louisiana (28,458). Conversely, more than 478,000 people left Texas last year. California was the most popular destination, with just over 38,000 moving there. Florida (37,781), Colorado (32,150), Oklahoma (31,506), and Georgia (20,923) also saw an influx of new residents from the Lone Star State.
