You'll get practice tips and hands-on practice with almost every major obstacle, from Spear Throws to Rope Climbs. | |  | | Prior to my first Spartan obstacle course race (OCR), I enrolled in the Spartan Obstacle Specialist class the Friday before the event. This decision allowed me to familiarize myself with the obstacles ahead of time, rather than encountering them for the first time during the race. The class proved invaluable; without it, I likely would have failed multiple obstacles, as I did during initial attempts in the class.
