Following the hijacking, police pursued the bus as it moved slowly through the city at gunpoint for nearly an hour. A flashing sign on the front of the bus alerted bystanders to call 911, highlighting the urgency of the situation. | Law enforcement quickly responded by deploying spike strips, which punctured one of the bus's tires, bringing the tense standoff to an end after the vehicle traveled more than seven miles.
