| | Breaking Updates | | In Sharp Rebuke of Biden, 16 House Dems Join GOP to Pass Bill to Force Weapons Shipments to Israel | The U.S. House of Representatives voted 224 to 187 to pass a bill that would force President Joe Biden to send weapons to Israel as the administration has been undermining the Jewish state by withholding certain weapons as they fight Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has refused to bend the knee and fight in the Hamas-controlled city of Rafah in the manner Biden demands, despite the president's continued threats.
Although the bill has little chance of passing the Democrat-controlled Senate (and Biden would veto it anyway), it's nevertheless a strong rebuke from the GOP—and the 16 Democrats who joined them—of Biden's disjointed Israel policies, which have pleased virtually nobody. Many on the right accuse him of continually sabotaging Netanyahu, while crazed leftists like the ones we see on college campuses across the country allege the president supports genocide.
Republicans accused Biden of turning his back on Israel after facing widespread pro-Palestinian protests. "This is a catastrophic decision with global implications. It is obviously being done as a political calculation, and we cannot let this stand," Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson told a news conference with other party leaders on Wednesday.
Democrats also accused the other party of playing politics, saying Republicans are distorting Biden's position on Israel. "It is not a serious effort at legislation, which is why some of the most pro-Israel members of the House Democratic caucus will be voting no," House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries told a news conference before the vote.
The measure does send a message, but unfortunately, it has no teeth. | Read more updates here |

| | Harrison Butker's Official NFL Jersey Makes the Bestseller List As Wokesters Cry in Their Milk | As we've been reporting, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker sent the Thought Police into a tizzy with his comments during a commencement speech Saturday at private Catholic liberal arts school Benedictine College, where he dared to suggest that many women would be happier focusing on family and kids rather than being obsessed with their careers, that men should embrace their masculinity, and that the governmental response to the COVID pandemic.
Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker's commencement address at a private Catholic liberal arts school in Kansas over the weekend has drawn strong reaction. But amid the reaction, demand for Butker's Chiefs jersey seems to have spiked.
As of Thursday, Butker's jersey appears to be among the most in-demand fan gear on NFL.com. Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes' jersey is also listed among the league's bestselling jerseys. Butker wore No. 87 in college when he kicked for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He currently wears jersey No. 7.
Other jersey listings also carried the "Most Popular" tag, so I guess they mean it's "among" the most popular, not necessarily "the" most popular. Still, it's clear that people are buying them—lots of them. You don't have to agree with everything Butker says, but we should all concur that he has the right to say it.
The people demanding his firing, tweeting out of his neighborhood's location, and demanding that he be somehow punished for his thoughts are the real villains here, not Harrison Butker. | Read more updates here |
